GTA 6 PC requirements: whatwe know (nothing official)

There are no official GTA 6 PC system requirements, because Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Confirmed Any "minimum" or "recommended" spec table you see online today is a guess or a copy of someone else's guess.

What the official pages say

Rockstar's GTA VI site lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two's pre-order announcement names the same two platforms, and neither page mentions PC. Confirmed The PlayStation listing says the game is released for PS5 and PS5 Pro, and the Xbox listing says "Optimized for XBOX Series X|S". Confirmed

At Take-Two's September 2026 shareholder meeting, CEO Strauss Zelnick said PC is becoming "more and more important" to the company, according to Inven Global. He did not announce a GTA 6 PC version. Confirmed That is a general remark about strategy, not a release plan.

What people confuse

Three things get mixed into "PC requirements" searches.

• Console hardware. The PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S have fixed specs. They are not PC requirements, and no PC part is "equal to a PS5" in any way Rockstar has published. Our console requirements guide covers what the consoles need.
• Install size. Rockstar has not given an official download size for any platform. See the file size guide.
• Fake spec sheets. Some sites publish a requirements table with GPU and RAM numbers and no source. Without a Rockstar or store page behind it, treat it as made up. Unconfirmed

How to judge a future PC build

When a PC version is announced, requirements normally appear on the store page, such as Steam or the Rockstar Games Launcher, before or around pre-orders. These checks do not depend on any leaked number.

A minimum spec usually means the game runs at low settings. A recommended spec usually means the settings Rockstar chose to describe. Neither is a promise about frame rate unless the page says so.

Will PC come at all, and when?

Nobody outside Rockstar and Take-Two knows. Rockstar's last two big games came to PC after console: Grand Theft Auto V on September 17, 2013 for consoles and April 14, 2015 for PC, and Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26, 2018 and November 5, 2019. Confirmed If that pattern repeated, PC would not arrive before late 2027, but that is our arithmetic and not an announcement. Estimate Our PC release date guide tracks the status.
