The short answer
The official GTA 6 install size has not been announced. As of our last check on October 5, we opened the PlayStation and Xbox listings and Rockstar's game page, and none shows a figure. Confirmed Any exact number you see is a guess.
The estimates
| Source | What it says | Status |
|---|---|---|
| GTANerd (Aug 11) | Realistic install of 150 to 200 GB, keep 200 to 250 GB free | Estimate |
| GTAbase (Sept 23) | Circulating figures range widely and none come from a reliable source | Unconfirmed |
We are not repeating leaked numbers. Plan for a large game plus a day-one patch.
How long will it take to download?
That depends on your connection and the final size. Use our download-time calculator to see the time on your speed and console. For example, 150 GB at 300 Mbps is roughly an hour and a quarter.
