Slow essays on the worlds we play. Fieldnotes from Fiction treats fictional worlds as places worth studying: their cities and economies, their politics, the people who live in them, and what they quietly say about our own world. We begin with Grand Theft Auto VI and its version of Florida. More worlds will follow, from other games and beyond. Every essay keeps what is confirmed apart from what is interpretation and what is still speculation. No leaks, no clickbait, no hype. Just long, careful looks at invented places.
